Orms has completed the renovation of a new high-specification co-working space in the center of Birmingham for CEG. Located on the 21st and 22nd floors of the iconic 28-storey Alpha Tower, Alpha Works caters for the booming demand for compromising, collaborative and alternative work spaces in the region .

Using their innovative East-London dash, Orms has cautiously redesigned the space to create a hard characterful workplace, which will besides play host to curated events and exhibitions .

It has employed a dim-witted and legal mix of materials, using strong woods and muted colours to contrast with the existing exposed concrete and services to create an element of raw sophism .

reception and break areas have been designed to capture a degree of foil into all spaces, and modernised to create welcoming areas to meet, work and socialize .

The integrity of the modernist tugboat has been retained and renewed to create light and roomy contemporary position space, befitting the build ’ s creative inheritance. Orms ’ design has redefined the workspace ’ s mentality on the city, maximising the view whilst providing all-important natural light. jointly, this has resulted in a vibrant, thriving working environment which encourages a common sense of community that is comfortable, adaptable ampere well as intrinsically inspiring .

Alpha Works has been designed to ensure it provides an organizational structure which is both functional and experiential, maximising the abundance of natural unhorse and views across Birmingham ’ s city. ”

The column has recently been acquired by CEG who are investing £10 million to refurbish the Grade II listed build and create a regional prototype for service offices. It now provides 196,000 sq foot of especial position accommodation over 27 floors with matchless views across the city.
