Overview

The Nicepage Theme is a fully customizable WordPress Theme, including the Editor Plugin. You can use the zip with Theme and Plugin to install on new hosting and get a functional website in several clicks.

NOTE: We are working on updating the videos. The following video tutorial was made with one of the previous versions.

Export Theme From Desktop Application

Export the Nicepage Theme from the Desktop Application for Windows or Mac OS.

  1. Run the Nicepage Application
  2. Open your working Project.
  3. Click the Publish & Export button on the Top Bar.
  4. Select the WordPress Tab.
  5. Specify the File Name and Path, if needed.
  6. Click the Export Button.

Import Theme, Plugin, and Pages

To import Nicepage WordPress Theme:

  1. Open the WordPress Administration.
  2. Open Appearance -> Themes.
  3. Click Add New Theme.
  4. Click Upload Theme.
  5. Browse for the Theme zip and click “Install Now.”
  6. Click Activate.
  7. After the Activation, you will see the Wizard.
  8. Click the “Install Plugin” button to install the Nicepage Plugin in the Wizard dialog.
  9. You may skip this step to install only the Theme.
  10. Install the Nicepage Plugin.
  11. Besides the Editor, your exported zip contains the Pages, Images, Sidebar Content, and Menu.
  12. Import Content
  13. Click the “Install Content” button in the wizard dialog.

Preview Site

You have installed the Theme, Plugin, and Content, and now you can continue creating and editing pages directly on your WordPress website.

Home Page As Default

IMPORTANT! Your WordPress site shows the Blog as the home page by default. So you may see only the Header and Footer from the project imported from the Desktop Application. Change the Reading Settings to display a static Home page as your WordPress home.

  1. Go to WordPress -> Settings -> Reading
  2. Change the “Home Page: option to show the “Home” as the site’s Home page.
  3. Click “Visit Site” to preview your website.

Edit Pages

  1. Open Pages -> your page.
  2. Click the “Edit with Nicepage” button to run the Editor.

## Export Theme From Desktop Application

Export the Nicepage Theme from the Desktop Application for Windows or Mac OS.

1. Run the Nicepage Application
2. Open your working Project.
3. Click the Publish & Export button on the Top Bar.
