“Kyoya, stop being stubborn,” Tamaki persisted. “I know it’s not too late for you to change the date.”

“The day before is too late to change our plans. It’s not possible,” Kyoya sighed in annoyance. “Our schedule is already packed for the next three months.” The black haired young man narrowed his eyes at Tamaki. “You know I hate rearranging our schedule.”

His glare had little to no effect on The Boss. Tamaki brushed it off and continued trying to reason with his friend. “Yes, yes, but you do it all the time!”

‘Only because I can only take your begging for so long. . .’ Kyoya thought angrily. He pushed up his glasses with finality. “Those were very rare occasions, Tamaki. This time it’s simply not an option. I’ve already invited twenty girls to the beach house this weekend, and I’m not telling them we cancelled last minute.” Thinking about all the business he’d lose made Kyoya shudder. The Host Club’s budget was getting thin and they needed the money they would be getting from Kyoya selling photo books of the hosts. He had them bound and ready.

Tamaki darted in front of Kyoya and wrapped his fingers over the top of the open black book in Kyoya’s hands. He pulled it down enough so Kyoya could see his big shining puppy dog eyes and whimpered. “B-but Kyoya, that’s all we do on the weekends now, not that I don’t mind hosting.~ I just really wanted to have a weekend without that for once. Just the eight of us.”

Kyoya was about to respond when he caught Tamaki’s calculation. He quickly took a head count, glancing from each club member as he did so. Tamaki, Honey, Mori, Hikaru, Kaoru, Haruhi and himself. “. .. Eight?” he said aloud in a puzzled tone. “There’s only seven of us.”

Tamaki’s innocent look got replaced by a devilish smirk. He had Kyoya right where he wanted him. “You’re right Kyoya. There’s only seven hosts.” Tamaki let go of the book and straightened. “In case you’ve forgotten, we’re all friends. I was going to invite (y/n) to join us, since she’s our friend too.” Tamaki shrugged his shoulders. “But, if you’re not willing to let us have a weekend to ourselves, then I don’t see the point in inviting her.” He started walking towards a couch to sit with Haruhi, sharing a wink with the Hitatchins, who had watched the entire exchange eagerly. They returned the wink with smirks of their own.

Kyoya couldn’t believe it. He stood frozen in shock at the realization Tamaki had just overpowered him. The idiot couldn’t have done it alone. Oh no. Tamaki must have conspired with the others, which meant that someone knew his weakness. Kyoya knew exactly who it was. He glared at Hikaru and Kaoru as he clenched his black notebook tightly. The identical brothers gave him innocent expressions, acting like they had no idea what was going on. Kyoya knew better than to believe them. Those two definitely knew more than they let on.

Why did Kyoya’s weakness have to be (y/n)? The answer was quite simple: (y/n) was the one girl that actually had an affect on him. Him! The cool collected Shadow King! The Shadow King whose family was one of the most powerful and influential in Japan. This young woman made Kyoya’s heart race and gave him butterflies–things he rarely experienced around the fairer sex. The emotions weren’t hard to hide, thankfully; yet as the two of them continued spending time together, he struggled to keep them contained. (y/n) was just so. .. perfect.

They’d been in the same class since eighth grade. The teachers often paired them together for group projects. Because of that they quickly became good friends. Kyoya couldn’t help but watch (y/n) out of the corner of his eye. She had a habit he loved–whenever she was deep in thought or completely immersed in a book she’d twirl a piece of hair with her fingers. It combined with the slight narrowing of her eyebrows made Kyoya smile every time.

As Kyoya learned more about (y/n) the attraction grew. He learned both he and (y/n) had similar interests and likes: reading, music, sleeping in, good grades, just to name a few. Both of them desired a successful career and when the time came a future family. (y/n) and Kyoya started spending more time together outside of school. Kyoya invited (y/n) to one of his father’s company parties, which–to his surprise–was approved by the head of the Ootori family. Many found (y/n) enchanting and fun to talk to. Since she was so well read, she was able to have some impressive conversations. She fit right in. Kyoya knew from that night on (y/n) was a keeper, especially since his father openly admitted he liked her after everyone left.

Many thoughts came to Kyoya as he determined what to do. It would be nice to have (y/n) come with them. After all, their after school schedules have prevented them from seeing each other lately. Kyoya knew what he had to do. He closed his notebook, went back to his desk and pulled out the club planner. “I guess I could move the beach house to a different weekend,” he said in defeat.

A chorus of “Yes!!!” erupted from the couches. Hikaru and Kaoru gave Tamaki and Haruhi high fives. Honey jumped on the couch with Bun-Bun in hand, elatedly chanting “(y/n)’s coming!” Honey soared off the couch, ran to Kyoya and gave him a huge hug. Mori, who was just as excited, laughed and grinned from ear to ear.

“Thank you, Kyo-chan!” Honey grinned gleefuly.

“Don’t thank me yet.” Kyoya said as he pried Honey off of him. He looked over his glasses to the Hitatchins. “I’m not sure how this will be received by the girls I invited.”

“They’re fine with it,” Hikaru and Kaoru piped up from the couch they sat on. “Boss already told them we moved the outing to a different day, and we’ll let them know when.”

Kyoya glowered at Tamaki for going behind his back. Tamaki simply smiled and relaxed into the couch, crossing his legs. “I even told (y/n) we had changed our plans. She accepted my invitation.”

“When did all this happen?” Kyoya demanded.

“During lunch,” Haruhi explained to Kyoya. “Before we all met up to eat we split up and talked to everyone. By the time you came we had finished.”

Kyoya had to hand it to his friends. They did a very good job of going behind his back and planning something different. “I see,” he said in a calmer tone. “Well, since all of you put forth the effort to make this happen, I’ll let this slide. We’ll have a weekend just to ourselves. What did you have in mind?”

“About that.” Tamaki motioned towards The Hitachins. “Hikaru and Kaoru had an amazing idea.”

The twins looked to Kyoya with matching smirks. “You bet we do.~”

That Saturday, after school let out and they finished hosting, everyone headed over to The Hitachin Mansion. Hikaru and Kaoru opened their home for a big slumber party, which Tamaki instantly approved. Tamaki insisted they do it the commoner way: futons on the floor with everyone in the same room. Of course, Haruhi and (y/n) would have their own space so they wouldn’t be smothered by the boys. After playing group games late into the night, the friends fell asleep–save for two. (y/n) and Kyoya couldn’t sleep.

Kyoya’s main reason was the sleepover itself. He had never slept in a room with other people. He preferred sleeping alone. Being in one room with his friends made sleeping difficult. Tamaki hummed happily while he dreamed, muttering Haruhi’s name occasionally. Honey snored softly next to Mori as he snuggled Bun-Bun. Kyoya couldn’t tell which of the twins was the mouth-breather. Either way the noise was keeping Kyoya up, as well as the thought of (y/n) just a few yards away with Haruhi.

(y/n) honestly didn’t mind the noise. Knowing Kyoya wasn’t too far away was what kept her up. She couldn’t slow her body down enough to sleep because her mind was constantly thinking about him. It wasn’t a bad thing, considering they started dating steadily a few months ago. With a heavy sigh (y/n) shifted under her blankets to try and get comfortable again.

Sleep just wasn’t coming for either one of them. Tomorrow was going to be very interesting.

“Do you think we should wake them up?” Tamaki asked no one in particular as his blue eyes shifted from (y/n) to Kyoya. They had yet to wake, and it was almost ten in the morning.

“I don’t know, Tama-chan,” Honey said as he played with Bun-Bun. “You know it’s not good to wake Kyoya up.”

Tamaki cringed at the painful memory. “I know. .. Then, who should do it?”

Hikaru and Kaoru shook their heads. “No way. Not us,” they said in unison.

Honey scurried behind Mori and hid. “Nuh uh. Not me. He’s scary!”

“So are you Honey when you’re woken too early!” Tamaki said a little too loud. He was promptly shushed. “Haruhi, will you do it?” he pleaded in a whisper.

Haruhi looked warily to Kyoya’s sleeping form, then to (y/n)’s. “I won’t wake Kyoya,” she said bluntly. “But I bet (y/n) wouldn’t have a problem waking him. They’re pretty close, after all.”

Those were the magic words. Tamaki and the twins grinned from ear to ear. Honey nodded enthusiastically in agreement. “There’s no way he’d be mad if (y/n) woke him up!” Mitsukuni chirped.

“Alright then!” Tamaki said with finality. “Haruhi will wake (y/n) up and then she’ll wake up Kyoya.”

“That’s not necessary. . .” Hearing (y/n)’s scratchy, tired voice made her friends look over to her. She sat up and ran a hand through her messy (h/l) (h/c) hair. “I’m awake.” The relief on their faces brought a small smile to (y/n)’s face. They thought it was Kyoya instead of her. It was rather funny.

“How long have you been awake?” Haruhi asked as she walked back to her bedding.

‘For too long’ (y/n) wanted to say to her, but kept it a thought. “Long enough to hear your plan.”

Mori took a sniff at the air. “I smell bacon,” he stated simply, then smiled. “And coffee.” The friends laughed quietly at Mori’s bluntness.

“Looks like we’re going to head down for breakfast,” Haruhi told (y/n). “See you and Kyoya soon then?”

(y/n) nodded as she yawned. “Yeah. I can’t guarantee I’ll get him to wake up, but I’ll try.”

“Thanks, (y/n)!” Hikaru and Kaoru grinned as they patted her head on their way out of the room. “You’re a life saver!”

“Don’t thank me yet.” (y/n) weakly swatted their hands away. The twins just laughed as they left the bedroom. Tamaki, Haruhi, Honey and Mori trailed behind them.

With a heavy sigh (y/n) got to her feet and walked over to Kyoya. From what she could tell, he was fast asleep; his breathing was even and his chest rose steadily. He lay on his side with his covers nearly covering his head. His mop of black hair barely poked out in multiple directions. (y/n) smiled as she sat beside him, watching him sleep. She envied him at that moment, wanting to be back asleep herself. But it wasn’t to be.

(y/n) hesitated to wake Kyoya up. This could either go well or be disastrous. Her hand shook as she went to nudge his shoulder. “Don’t bother,” came the grunt of a reply. Hearing his gruff voice startled (y/n). She gently smacked Kyoya’s shoulder.

“You scared me!”

The smack and (y/n)’s tone of voice made Kyoya chuckle tiredly. He turned onto his back so he could look up at her. “Sorry,” he said mid yawn. “Even though he tried to stay quiet, Tamaki still woke me up. I actually had a hard time sleeping.” It took a second for his eyes to focus on (y/n). Once they did he saw how tired she was. “You look like you didn’t sleep either.”

“Not really,” (y/n) admitted. She rested her head on her knees with a yawn. “I think I finally crashed around five-thirty.”

“Same here. There was too much noise.”

(y/n) laughed tiredly. “I agree. Tamaki kept sleep talking.”

Kyoya chuckled as he shook his head. “Honey hummed in his sleep, and I think Kaoru breaths through his mouth.”

“No, I think Hikaru did,” (y/n) countered with a smile. “Or it was both of them.”

“Ha ha ha. Maybe.” Kyoya was surprised he was this friendly after getting about four hours of sleep compared to his usual eight or nine. Maybe it was because (y/n) got the short end of the stick and had to wake him up. Kyoya looked up at (y/n) with a smile of his own. “So, breakfast is almost ready?”

“I guess.” (y/n) yawned again, turning her head so her face was hidden by her knees. Her groan mirrored her exhaustion. “Soooo tired. . .”

Kyoya smirked to himself. “I know what will wake us up a little.”

“Wha?” (y/n) asked in mid yawn. She turned her head to look at Kyoya. She was going to fall asleep any second.

“This.” Kyoya scooted closer to (y/n), made his head level with hers and pressed his lips to hers in a chaste kiss. Even though it was chaste, it was enough to send an electrifying jump-start through both of them. Kyoya pulled away enough to see a cute shade of pink on (y/n)’s cheeks. He ran a thumb across one of them. “Awake now?”

(y/n) nodded with a shy smile. “Are you?”

“For the time being.” Kyoya could smell the tantalizing aroma of bacon, eggs, and coffee. “That smells divine. Shall we head down?”

“Yes please,” (y/n) agreed. “I’m starving.”

Hours after breakfast and changing clothes, Kyoya made his way back downstairs to the sitting room. With a novel in hand he claimed one of the couches by the sliding glass doors leading to the pool He kicked off his slippers, sprawled himself out, got comfortable and picked up where he left off.

Thunderous footsteps and laughter were heard as the others came down the stairs dressed for the pool. Their towels trailed behind them like capes, which was comical enough to make Kyoya chuckle. He shook his head and returned his attention to his book.

“Are you sure you don’t want to join us, Kyoya?” Tamaki asked as she reached the last step.

“I’m sure,” Kyoya answered, not taking his eyes off the page.

“You can sit on one of the lounge chairs!” the blond persisted. “That way you can be outside with us!”

Kyoya looked at Tamaki with a quirked eyebrow. “And risk the chance of out of control splashing ruining my book? No. I am fine right here.”

Tamaki sighed in defeat. “Oh, alright. Well, if you change your mind, you know where we are!” The blond darted out the French doors, shedding his towel along the way. “Cannonball!!!” he yelled as he jumped into the pool.

Kyoya judged by the sound of the splash and his friends’ responses Tamaki’s execution was pretty impressive. He laughed quietly as he shook his head in amusement, returning his attention to his book.

Minutes later Kyoya heard soft footfalls approach the couch. “Looks like you and I had the same idea.” He looked up to find (y/n) standing beside him with a book of her own.

“Hey,” he greeted with slight surprise. “I thought for sure you were with Tamaki and the others.”

(y/n) shook her head. “No, not this time. Didn’t feel like it.” She nodded to the couch. “Is there room for me?”

Kyoya smirked. “I think I can make some.”

(y/n) smiled as Kyoya sat up some, bending his knees so (y/n) could sit with him. “Thank you, Kyoya.” She mirrored him on the other side of the couch.

“You’re welcome.”

It didn’t take long for Kyoya to change positions of the couch. No matter what he tried, laying on his side, on his back, his back on the armrest, he couldn’t get comfortable. He looked over at (y/n), who was in the same spot she started in. She was doing the habit he had grown to love, twirling a piece of hair around her finger. He groaned in frustration. “I can’t stand this,” Kyoya complained as he dropped his arms. “Come here, (y/n).”

“Hmm?” (y/n) looked up over her book.

“Come here,” Kyoya repeated, motioning her over.

(y/n) cautiously looked over her shoulder towards the pool. “But, what about–“

“Don’t worry about them,” Kyoya told her. “They can’t see us at our current angle unless they come inside.”

(y/n) blushed as she marked her place in the book with a finger. Kyoya wanting to snuggle was rare, even though they started dating three months ago. She carefully climbed over his legs towards him. As she got closer Kyoya helped her get comfortable. (y/n) ended up half on top of him, resting her head on his chest.

“Much better.~” Kyoya smirked as he lifted his book, earning a giggle from (y/n).

“How are you going to read?” (y/n) asked.

“Like this.” Kyoya held his book in his right hand while the left lay on (y/n)’s hip.

(y/n) shrugged. “Okay.” She barely opened her book when Kyoya’s free hand closed it. She rolled her eyes. “Kyoya. . .” (y/n) turned her head to look at her boyfriend. “I though you wanted t–” Kyoya cut her off by pressing his lips to hers. The same electric zing they felt that morning coursed through their bodies. Kyoya dropped his book to cup (y/n)’s cheek in his hand. The other wrapped around her waist. The way his lips moved against hers made (y/n) melt in his arms.

“I still want to read, Love,” Kyoya answered endearingly as his fingertips brushed away strands of (y/n)’s hair from her eyes. “I wanted to kiss you first.”

(y/n) smiled as she rested her forehead on Kyoya’s. “Okay.”

It didn’t take long for (y/n) to fall asleep while reading. She fought it off as best as she could, but the lack of sleep finally caught up to her. Kyoya stifled yawn after yawn and rubbed at his eyes to stay awake. When he saw (y/n)’s hands lower the book and rest on her stomach he knew it was fruitless to fight it. He placed his book marker where he stopped and placed his book on the floor, doing the same with (y/n)’s. Kyoya tiredly kissed (y/n)’s forehead, yawned, shut his eyes and gave in to the sleep his body craved, though not before wishing her sweet dreams.

An hour later, Hikaru and Kaoru entered the house to request lunch for everyone. The moment they stepped inside they saw Kyoya and (y/n) fast asleep on the couch, snuggling each other. The twins shared a knowing smile. Hikaru quickly snapped a picture with his phone. As good as a blackmail picture it would be, he intended for it to be a memory, something Kyoya and (y/n) could reminisce about in the future.

“I told you they were seeing each other,” Kaoru whispered to his brother.

“I knew too, Kaoru,” Hikaru reminded. “You weren’t the only one who noticed.” A look of concern appeared on Hikaru’s face. “I wonder how much sleep they got last night?”

“Probably not much,” Kaoru realized. “No wonder they’re zonked out.”

“Man am I hungry!” Tamaki declared as he lead the others back into the house, causing The Hitachins to jump. “What’s on the men–“

“SSSSSSHHHHHH!!!” Hikaru and Kaoru waved frantically at their senior to shut up. They ran over to Tamaki and covered his mouth to keep him quiet. “Don’t wake them up!”

“Wake who up?” Honey asked innocently.

“SSSHHH!” Hikaru and Kaoru nodded to the couch Kyoya and (y/n) occupied.

Honey’s eyes followed the direction, then widened at what he saw. “Ohhh,” he whispered. Honey sheepishly smiled and “zipped” his mouth.

Tamaki struggled fighting off the twins with muffled complaints. When his eyes found the sleeping forms of his best friend and (y/n) he stopped. Hikaru and Kaoru cautiously removed their hands from Tamaki’s mouth. Stunned by what he saw, Tamaki’s mouth opened and closed like a fish as he struggled to find words. He kept pointing at (y/n) and Kyoya.

“You. .. you knew about this?” Tamaki managed to hiss at the twins. “You knew and didn’t tell me?!”

“Uh, yeah,” they said in unison. “It was kind of obvious, actually.”

“I saw it,” Mori said quietly with a smile.

“Same here!” Honey added. “They’ve been very happy for months!”

Tamaki looked to Haruhi with anxious eyes, waiting for her two bits.

Haruhi flushed under the pressure. “I noticed it too, but (y/n). . .” She sighed and slumped her shoulders. “She confided in me that they were dating. I had to keep it a secret.”

Tamaki pouted as he looked back at Kyoya, who nuzzled (y/n)’s cheek as he shifted in his sleep. “So, I’m the only one who didn’t know?” Hikaru and Kaoru pushed Tamaki from behind towards the kitchen.

“Sorry Boss.”

Tamaki was in the hallway when he realized he was being herded out of the room. He stopped suddenly, making the Hitachins trip on their feet. “Tamaki!” they hissed.

“Go ahead to the kitchen,” Tamaki told them. “I’ll be there in a sec.”

“But–“

“I’ll be quiet. Promise.”

Hikaru and Kaoru looked to Mori, Honey and Haruhi with baffled expressions. Each of them shrugged their shoulders as they went to get lunch.

Tamaki slipped into the living room, keeping his eyes on Kyoya and (y/n), who were still fast asleep. He stopped behind the couch and rested his arms along the back of it, leaning over a little. A smile spread across Tamaki’s face. Kyoya looked so peaceful with (y/n) next to him; he held her protectively, lovingly. Honey was right. Now that he thought about it, Tamaki did notice how happy Kyoya and (y/n) were three months ago, how shy and hesitant they were at times–must have been when they wanted to show affection. He understood why Kyoya didn’t want the others to know. Word would spread like wildfire through the school and possibly start rumors. It was best for them to make it official when the time was right.

“Look at you,” Tamaki said quietly to himself. “Mr. Shadow King, dating.” With a smile he straightened and patted the back of the couch. “Sleep well, my friend.” He made his way to the kitchen to join the others.

(y/n) and Kyoya woke up an hour later. The couch wasn’t the best place for a nap, but it was much needed for both of them. While Kyoya stretched his arms and fixed his glasses, (y/n) noticed a platter of sushi on the coffee table, along with some chopsticks, saucers of pickled ginger and soy sauce, and bottles of juice. She nudged Kyoya in his side, which made him flinch, chuckling.

“What is it?”

“It looks like lunch,” (y/n) said as she got off the couch and sat on the floor.

“Lunch?” Kyoya looked at his phone. Sure enough, it was one-thirty. “How long were we asleep?”

“I don’t know,” (y/n) said with a shrug. “This sushi looks good, though.” Sticking out from underneath the platter was a note. (y/n) pulled it out and opened it. Upon reading it, she promptly flushed, then looked at what appeared to be a piece of photo paper that had fallen to the floor. She flipped it over and flushed a darker shade of red. “Oh, boy. . .” Kyoya noticed her reaction and slid off the couch.

“What is it?” he inquired with furrowed brows.

“Read this first, then I’ll show you.” (y/n) handed him the paper and waited patiently for him to read it.

We saved you some sushi!
Hope you enjoy it.
And hope that you two
got plenty of sleep.~
You sure looked comfy. <3

P.S: We’re still swimming in the pool
if you want to join us!

Hikaru and Kaoru

Kyoya felt his impudence heat up from the contents of the letter. “ Alright. now the picture, please. ” ( y/n ) handed it to him while anxiously watching his reaction. His eyes widened upon seeing ( y/n ) and himself sleeping on the couch. He did n’t think it was possible, but his boldness felt even hotter. The tad of red on Kyoya ‘s cheek was highly satisfying to ( y/n ). She broke into giggles. “ Well. .. ? ”

Kyoya sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “

We were going to tell them. They just found out before we could.” He looked to his girlfriend. “How about we take it in stride, be open about it now that they know.”

Hearing that made (y/n) smile. “I was hoping you’d say that.” She reached for the photo, wanting another look at it. “You know, I wouldn’t mind snuggling like that more often. It was very relaxing.”

Kyoya chuckled as he wrapped an arm around (y/n) and pecked her forehead. “I agree. It was quite nice.”

“Now let’s eat so we can go swim!”

Kyoya quirked an eyebrow at (y/n). “Y

ou in truth want to swim ? ( y/n ), you know it ‘s better to wait thirty minutes after eating to swim. ”

“ I know. ” ( y/n ) reached for the chopsticks, handing Kyoya the other set. “ I ‘m not going to actually swim, just sit in the shallows. If that ‘s okay with you. ”

“ Oh, all right, ” Kyoya relented. “ We can sit in the shallows. ”

( y/n ) beamed as she kissed Kyoya ‘s cheek. “ Thank you. ”

Kyoya smiled. “ You ‘re welcome. ” He returned the kiss with one on her lips.

Kyoya ‘s patience was beginning to thin. For the by ten minutes Tamaki would n’t stop pestering him about changing their weekend plans. Kyoya had arranged their trip to the beach house final month and recently sent out invitations to at least twenty of their female classmates to come. He told Tamaki repeatedly his answer was no, but the blond would n’t give up. Suoh kept trailing behind Kyoya as he walked around the music room they used for club activities. “ Kyoya, stop being refractory, ” Tamaki persisted. “ I know it ‘s not excessively late for you to change the date. “ “ The day beforetoo late to change our plans. It ‘s not possible, ” Kyoya sighed in annoyance. “ Our schedule is already packed for the adjacent three months. ” The black hairy young man narrowed his eyes at Tamaki. “ You know I hate rearranging our agenda. “ His limelight had little to no effect on The Boss. Tamaki brushed it off and continued trying to cause with his ally. “ Yes, yes, but you do it all the fourth dimension ! “ ‘Only because I can only take your begging for sol long. .. ‘ Kyoya thought angrily. He pushed up his glasses with finality. “ Those were very rare occasions, Tamaki. This time it ‘s simply not an choice. I ‘ve already invited twenty dollar bill girls to the beach family this weekend, and I’mtelling them we cancelled last moment. ” Thinking about all the clientele he ‘d lose made Kyoya shudder. The Host Club ‘s budget was getting thin and they needed the money they would be getting from Kyoya selling photograph books of the hosts. He had them tie down and ready.Tamaki darted in battlefront of Kyoya and wrapped his fingers over the top of the open black reserve in Kyoya ‘s hands. He pulled it down enough then Kyoya could see his big polish puppy cad eyes and whimpered. “ B-but Kyoya, that ‘s all we do on the weekends nowadays, not that I do n’t mind hosting.~ I equitable very wanted to have a weekend without that for once. Just the eight of us. “ Kyoya was about to respond when he caught Tamaki ‘s calculation. He cursorily took a head count, glancing from each club extremity as he did then. Tamaki, Honey, Mori, Hikaru, Kaoru, Haruhi and himself. “. .. eight ? ” he said aloud in a at a loss tone. “ There ‘s alone seven of us. “ Tamaki ‘s barren look got replaced by a devilish smirk. He had Kyoya proper where he wanted him. “ You ‘re good Kyoya. There ‘s merely seven hosts. ” Tamaki let go of the book and straightened. “ In font you ‘ve forgotten, we ‘re all. I was going to invite ( y/n ) to join us, since she ‘s ourtoo. ” Tamaki shrugged his shoulders. “ But, if you ‘re not will to let us have a weekend to ourselves, then I do n’t see the point in inviting her. ” He started walking towards a sofa to sit with Haruhi, sharing a blink with the Hitatchins, who had watched the entire exchange eagerly. They returned the flash with smirks of their own.Kyoya could n’t believe it. He stood fixed in shock at the realization Tamaki had good overpowered him. The idiot could n’t have done it alone. Oh no. She accepted my invitation. “ “ When did all this happen ? ” Kyoya demanded. “ During lunch, ” Haruhi explained to Kyoya. “ Before we all met up to eat we split up and talked to everyone. By the time you came we had finished. “ Kyoya had to hand it to his friends. They did a very good job of going behind his back and design something unlike. “ I see, ” he said in a calm tone. “ well, since all of you put forth the effort to make this happen, I ‘ll let this slide. We ‘ll have a weekend barely to ourselves. What did you have in heed ? “ “ About that. ” Tamaki motioned towards The Hitachins. “ Hikaru and Kaoru had an amazing idea. “ The twins looked to Kyoya with matching smirks. “ You bet we do.~ ” That Saturday, after school let out and they finished hosting, everyone headed over to The Hitachin Mansion. Hikaru and Kaoru opened their home for a big slumber party, which Tamaki immediately approved. Tamaki insisted they do it the coarse way : futons on the floor with everyone in the same room. Of naturally, Haruhi and ( y/n ) would have their own space so they would n’t be smothered by the boys. After playing group games late into the night, the friends fell asleep — save for two. ( y/n ) and Kyoya could n’t sleep.Kyoya ‘s main reason was the sleepover itself. He had never slept in a room with other people. He preferred sleeping alone. Being in one room with his friends made sleeping unmanageable. Tamaki hummed happily while he dreamed, muttering Haruhi ‘s name occasionally. Honey snored softly following to Mori as he snuggled Bun-Bun. Kyoya could n’t tell which of the twins was the mouth-breather. Either way the noise was keeping Kyoya up, deoxyadenosine monophosphate well as the think of ( y/n ) just a few yards away with Haruhi. ( y/n ) honestly did n’t mind the noise. Knowing Kyoya was n’t excessively far away was what kept her up. She could n’t slow her body down enough to sleep because her mind was constantly thinking about him. It was n’t a bad thing, considering they started dating steadily a few months ago. With a heavy sigh ( y/n ) shifted under her blankets to try and get comfortable again.Sleep just was n’t coming for either one of them. tomorrow was going to beinteresting. “ Do you think we should wake them up ? ” Tamaki asked no one in particular as his blue sky eyes shifted from ( y/n ) to Kyoya. They had yet to wake, and it was about ten in the dawn. “ I do n’t know, Tama-chan, ” Honey said as he played with Bun-Bun. “ You know it ‘s not good to wake Kyoya up. “ Tamaki cringed at the painful memory. “ I know. .. then, who should do it ? “ Hikaru and Kaoru shook their heads. “ No way. not us, ” they said in unison.Honey scurried behind Mori and obscure. “ Nuh uh. not me. He ‘s chilling ! “ “ indeed are you Honey when you ‘re woken besides early ! ” Tamaki said a short excessively brassy. He was promptly shushed. “ Haruhi, will you do it ? ” he pleaded in a whisper.Haruhi looked warily to Kyoya ‘s sleeping phase, then to ( y/n ) ‘s. “ I wo n’t wake Kyoya, ” she said bluffly. “ But I bet ( y/n ) would n’t have a trouble waking him. They ‘re pretty close, after all. “ Those were the magic words. Tamaki and the twins grinned from auricle to ear. Honey nodded enthusiastically in agreement. “ There ‘s no way he ‘d be delirious if ( y/n ) woke him up ! ” Mitsukuni chirped. “ Alright then ! ” Tamaki said with finality. “ Haruhi will wake ( y/n ) up and then she ‘ll wake up Kyoya. “ “ That ‘s not necessary. .. ” Hearing ( y/n ) ‘s abrasive, tire voice made her friends look over to her. She sat up and ran a hand through her messy ( h/l ) ( h/c ) hair’s-breadth. “ I ‘m wake up. ” The relief on their faces brought a belittled smile to ( y/n ) ‘s face. They thought it was Kyoya rather of her. It was rather funny story. “ How long have you been awake ? ” Haruhi asked as she walked back to her go to bed. ‘For besides long ‘ ( y/n ) wanted to say to her, but kept it a think. “ long enough to hear your plan. “ Mori took a sniff at the air. “ I smell bacon, ” he stated plainly, then smiled. “ And coffee. ” The friends laughed quietly at Mori ‘s dullness. “ Looks like we ‘re going to head down for breakfast, ” Haruhi told ( y/n ). “ See you and Kyoya soon then ? “ ( y/n ) nodded as she yawned. “ Yeah. I ca n’t guarantee I ‘ll get him to wake up, but I ‘ll try. “ “ Thanks, ( y/n ) ! ” Hikaru and Kaoru grinned as they patted her head on their direction out of the room. “ You ‘re a life rescuer ! “ “ Do n’t thank me however. ” ( y/n ) decrepit swatted their hands away. The twins just laughed as they left the bedroom. Tamaki, Haruhi, Honey and Mori trailed behind them. With a clayey sigh ( y/n ) got to her feet and walked over to Kyoya. From what she could tell, he was fast asleep ; his breathe was tied and his thorax rose steadily. He lay on his side with his covers about covering his head. His pout of black hair scantily poked out in multiple directions. ( y/n ) smiled as she sat beside him, watching him sleep. She envied him at that moment, wanting to be back asleep herself. But it was n’t to be. ( y/n ) hesitated to wake Kyoya up. This could either go well or be black. Her hand judder as she went to nudge his shoulder. “ Do n’t bother, ” came the grunt of a answer. Hearing his crusty voice startled ( y/n ). She lightly smacked Kyoya ‘s shoulder. “ You scared me ! “ The smack and ( y/n ) ‘s tone of voice made Kyoya chortle tiredly. He turned onto his back so he could look up at her. “ Sorry, ” he said mid yawn. “ even though he tried to stay quietly, Tamaki still woke me up. I actually had a hard time sleeping. ” It took a moment for his eyes to focus on ( y/n ). Once they did he saw how run down she was. “ You look like you did n’t sleep either. “ “ not in truth, ” ( y/n ) admitted. She rested her head on her knees with a yawn. “ I think I ultimately crashed around five-thirty. “ “ Same here. There was besides much randomness. “ ( y/n ) laughed tiredly. “ I agree. Tamaki kept sleep talking. “ Kyoya chuckled as he shook his drumhead. “ Honey hummed in his sleep, and I think Kaoru breaths through his mouth. “ “ No, I think Hikaru did, ” ( y/n ) countered with a smile. “ Or it was both of them. “ “ Ha hour angle hour angle. possibly. ” Kyoya was surprised he was this friendly after getting about four hours of sleep compared to his usual eight or nine. Maybe it was because ( y/n ) got the short end of the stick and had to wake him up. Kyoya looked up at ( y/n ) with a smile of his own. “ thus, breakfast is about cook ? “ “ I guess. ” ( y/n ) yawned again, turning her head so her face was hidden by her knees. Her groan mirrored her exhaustion. “ Soooo tired. .. “ Kyoya smirked to himself. “ I know what will wake us up a little. ” ” Wha ? ” ( y/n ) asked in mid yawn. She turned her capitulum to look at Kyoya. She was going to fall asleep any second. ” This. ” Kyoya scooted closer to ( y/n ), made his head level with hers and pressed his lips to hers in a chaste snog. even though it was chaste, it was enough to send an electrify jumpstart through both of them. Kyoya pulled away adequate to see a cute shade of pink on ( y/n ) ‘s buttock. He ran a ovolo across one of them. “ Awake immediately ? “ ( y/n ) nodded with a shy smile. “ Are you ? “ “ For the time being. ” Kyoya could smell the tantalizing olfactory property of bacon, eggs, and coffee. “ That smells divine. Shall we head down ? “ “ Yes please, ” ( y/n ) agreed. “ I ‘m starving. “ Hours after breakfast and exchange clothes, Kyoya made his room back downstairs to the sitting room. With a novel in hand he claimed one of the couches by the sliding glass doors leading to the pool He kicked off his slippers, sprawled himself out, got comfortable and picked up where he left off.Thunderous footsteps and laugh were heard as the others came down the stairs dressed for the pool. Their towels trailed behind them like capes, which was amusing adequate to make Kyoya chortle. He shook his head and returned his attention to his script. “ Are you certain you do n’t want to join us, Kyoya ? ” Tamaki asked as she reached the last footprint. “ I ‘m certain, ” Kyoya answered, not taking his eyes off the page. “ You can sit on one of the lounge chair ! ” the blond persisted. “ That way you can be external with us ! “ Kyoya looked at Tamaki with a quirk eyebrow. “ And risk the find of out of control splashing ruining my book ? No. I am fine right field here. “ Tamaki sighed in get the better of. “ Oh, okay. well, if you change your beware, you know where we are ! ” The blond darted out the french doors, shedding his towel along the manner. “ cannonball ! ! ! ” he yelled as he jumped into the pool.Kyoya judged by the voice of the dab and his friends ‘ responses Tamaki ‘s execution was pretty impressive. He laughed quietly as he shook his drumhead in entertainment, returning his care to his book.Minutes belated Kyoya heard voiced footfalls approach the sofa. “ Looks like you and I had the same mind. ” He looked up to find ( y/n ) standing beside him with a book of her own. “ Hey, ” he greeted with rebuff surprise. “ I thought for certain you were with Tamaki and the others. “ ( y/n ) shook her promontory. “ No, not this time. Did n’t feel like it. ” She nodded to the couch. “ Is there room for me ? “ Kyoya smirked. “ I think I can make some. “ ( y/n ) smiled as Kyoya sat up some, bending his knees thus ( y/n ) could sit with him. “ Thank you, Kyoya. ” She mirrored him on the other side of the couch. “ You ‘re welcome. “ It did n’t take long for Kyoya to change positions of the couch. No matter what he tried, laying on his slope, on his back, his back on the armrest, he could n’t get comfortable. He looked over at ( y/n ), who was in the lapp blot she started in. She was doing the habit he had grown to love, twirling a firearm of haircloth around her finger. He groaned in frustration. “ I ca n’t stand this, ” Kyoya complained as he dropped his arms. “ Come here, ( y/n ). ” ” Hmm ? ” ( y/n ) looked up over her bible. “ Come here, ” Kyoya repeated, motioning her over. ( y/n ) cautiously looked over her shoulder towards the pool. “ But, what about — ” ” Do n’t worry about them, ” Kyoya told her. “ They ca n’t see us at our current angle unless they come inside. “ ( y/n ) blushed as she marked her place in the book with a finger. Kyoya wanting to snuggle was rare, even though they started dating three months ago. She carefully climbed over his legs towards him. As she got closer Kyoya helped her get comfortable. ( y/n ) ended up half on peak of him, resting her head on his breast. “ a lot better.~ ” Kyoya smirked as he lifted his book, earning a giggle from ( y/n ). “ How are you going to read ? ” ( y/n ) asked. “ Like this. ” Kyoya held his script in his right hand while the leave lay on ( y/n ) ‘s hip. ( y/n ) shrugged. “ Okay. ” She barely opened her koran when Kyoya ‘s free hand closed it. She rolled her eyes. “ Kyoya. .. ” ( y/n ) turned her head to look at her boyfriend. “ I though you wanted deoxythymidine monophosphate — ” Kyoya cut her off by pressing his lips to hers. The like electric dynamism they felt that good morning coursed through their bodies. Kyoya dropped his book to cup ( y/n ) ‘s cheek in his hand. The early wrapped around her shank. The way his lips moved against hers made ( y/n ) thaw in his arms. “ I still want to read, Love, ” Kyoya answered adorably as his fingertips brushed away strands of ( y/n ) ‘s hair from her eyes. “ I wanted to kiss you first. “ ( y/n ) smiled as she rested her frontal bone on Kyoya ‘s. “ Okay. “ It did n’t take long for ( y/n ) to fall asleep while reading. She fought it off equally best as she could, but the miss of sleep last caught up to her. Kyoya stifled gape after yawn and rub at his eyes to stay awake. When he saw ( y/n ) ‘s hands lower the book and rest on her stomach he knew it was bootless to fight it. He placed his reserve marker where he stopped and placed his book on the floor, doing the lapp with ( y/n ) ‘s. Kyoya tiredly kissed ( y/n ) ‘s frontal bone, yawned, shut his eyes and gave in to the sleep his body craved, though not before wishing her sugared dreams. An hour later, Hikaru and Kaoru entered the house to request lunch for everyone. The moment they stepped inside they saw Kyoya and ( y/n ) fast asleep on the sofa, snuggling each other. The twins shared a know smile. Hikaru promptly snapped a video with his telephone. adenine good as a blackmail movie it would be, he intended for it to be a memory, something Kyoya and ( y/n ) could reminisce about in the future. “ I told you they were seeing each other, ” Kaoru whispered to his brother. “ I knew excessively, Kaoru, ” Hikaru reminded. “ You were n’t the merely one who noticed. ” A look of concern appeared on Hikaru ‘s face. “ I wonder how much sleep they got last nox ? “ “ credibly not much, ” Kaoru realized. “ No curiosity they ‘re zonked out. “ “ Man am I hungry ! ” Tamaki declared as he lead the others back into the house, causing The Hitachins to jump. “ What ‘s on the men — ” ” SSSSSSHHHHHH ! ! ! ” Hikaru and Kaoru waved madly at their senior to shut up. They ran over to Tamaki and covered his mouth to keep him calm. “ Do n’t wake them up ! “ “ Wake who up ? ” Honey asked innocently. ” SSSHHH ! ” Hikaru and Kaoru nodded to the couch Kyoya and ( y/n ) occupied.Honey ‘s eyes followed the guidance, then widened at what he saw. “ Ohhh, ” he whispered. Honey sheepishly smiled and “ zipped ” his mouth.Tamaki struggled fighting off the twins with smother complaints. When his eyes found the sleeping forms of his best supporter and ( y/n ) he stopped. Hikaru and Kaoru conservatively removed their hands from Tamaki ‘s sass. Stunned by what he saw, Tamaki ‘s mouth opened and closed like a fish as he struggled to find words. He kept pointing at ( y/n ) and Kyoya. “ You. .. you knew about this ? ” Tamaki managed to hiss at the twins. “ You knew and did n’t tell me ? ! “ “ Uh, yea, ” they said in unison. “ It was kind of obvious, actually. “ “ I saw it, ” Mori said quietly with a smile. “ Same here ! ” Honey added. “ They ‘ve beenhappy for months ! “ Tamaki looked to Haruhi with anxious eyes, waiting for her two bits.Haruhi flushed under the coerce. “ I noticed it besides, but ( y/n ). .. ” She sighed and slumped her shoulders. “ She confided in me that they were dating. I had to keep it a secret. “ Tamaki pouted as he looked spinal column at Kyoya, who nuzzled ( y/n ) ‘s impudence as he shifted in his sleep. “ so, I ‘m the alone one who did n’t know ? ” Hikaru and Kaoru pushed Tamaki from behind towards the kitchen. “ Sorry Boss. “ Tamaki was in the hallway when he realized he was being herded out of the room. He stopped on the spur of the moment, making the Hitachins stumble on their feet. “ Tamaki ! ” they hissed. “ Go ahead to the kitchen, ” Tamaki told them. “ I ‘ll be there in a secant. “ “ But — ” ” I ‘ll be calm. Promise. “ Hikaru and Kaoru looked to Mori, Honey and Haruhi with baffled expressions. Each of them shrugged their shoulders as they went to get lunch.Tamaki slipped into the support room, keeping his eyes on Kyoya and ( y/n ), who were calm fast asleep. He stopped behind the sofa and rested his arms along the back of it, leaning over a little. A smile spread across Tamaki ‘s face. Kyoya looked then peaceful with ( y/n ) next to him ; he held her protectively, fondly. Honey was justly. now that he thought about it, Tamakinotice how happy Kyoya and ( y/n ) were three months ago, how shy and hesitant they were at times — must have been when they wanted to show affection. He understood why Kyoya did n’t want the others to know. Word would spread like wildfire through the school and possibly start rumors. It was best for them to make it official when the time was right. “ Look at you, ” Tamaki said restfully to himself. “ Mr. Shadow King, dating. ” With a smile he straightened and patted the back of the sofa. “ Sleep well, my ally. ” He made his way to the kitchen to join the others. ( y/n ) and Kyoya woke up an hour subsequently. The frame was n’t the best identify for a sleep, but it was much needed for both of them. While Kyoya stretched his arms and fixed his glasses, ( y/n ) noticed a platter of sushi on the coffee bean table, along with some chopsticks, saucers of pickle ginger and soy sauce, and bottles of juice. She nudged Kyoya in his side, which made him wince, chuckling. “ What is it ? “ “ It looks like lunch, ” ( y/n ) said as she got off the frame and seat on the floor. ” lunch ? ” Kyoya looked at his phone. indisputable enough, it was one-thirty. “ How farseeing were we asleep ? “ “ I do n’t know, ” ( y/n ) said with a shrug. “ This sushi looks dear, though. ” Sticking out from underneath the platter was a note. ( y/n ) pulled it out and opened it. Upon reading it, she promptly flushed, then looked at what appeared to be a piece of photograph paper that had fallen to the floor. She flipped it over and flushed a dark nuance of crimson. “ Oh, boy. .. ” Kyoya noticed her reaction and slid off the sofa. “ What is it ? ” he inquired with furrow brows. “ Read this first, then I ‘ll show you. ” ( y/n ) handed him the newspaper and waited patiently for him to read it .
