Masekela was born in Los Angeles, the son of a haitian mother and south african jazz musician Hugh Masekela. [ 1 ] Masekela is besides the older stepbrother of Survivor: Cook Islands contestant Nathan Gonzalez. Masekela is involved in several social initiatives, and is the co-founder of Stoked Mentoring, an administration dedicated to mentoring at risk young through natural process sports.
